Seas 'n Trees... blues 'n greens...

Because the Natural World is Awesome...

New images mostly every day, fresh from Virginia Beach... featuring Sunrises and the Magic that happens where the Sky, the Surf, and the Sand collide and mix into that Mystical State we call the Beach...
So, sit back and enjoy the view... although all the Elements are the same, they mix in entirely different and exciting ways every day... if you can't actually be on the Beach, I'll show you how it was...

Dale Chihuly Gardens and Glass, Seattle Center, 6.7.12

Rolled out to Seattle for a few days...
and took in the Chihuly Exhibit...
in the shadow of the Space Needle..
There were lighted and mirrored indoor rooms...
and outdoor gardens with complementary plants...
and landscape features...
Although i found his indoor fixtures somewhat self-indulgent...
it was an impressive exhibit...
well worth seeing...
especially the outdoor scenes...
where the glass was much more natural...
and blended into the World...

Backlit ceiling panels...
bleed onto the walls...

A free-standing garden on a mirror...

The Boats with floats...

One of the Chandeliers...

The GlassHouse...
looking up...
 into the SpaceNeedle...

The outside gardens...

Seattle Sun...
atop a hill of Black Mondo Grass...
A Crow flew in to land on it...
then hovered and backpedaled...
and picked another spot to alight...
That was my favorite vista of the Exhibit...

Wonderful vignette of proto-crows...
emerging from the Underworld...
