Seas 'n Trees... blues 'n greens...

Because the Natural World is Awesome...

New images mostly every day, fresh from Virginia Beach... featuring Sunrises and the Magic that happens where the Sky, the Surf, and the Sand collide and mix into that Mystical State we call the Beach...
So, sit back and enjoy the view... although all the Elements are the same, they mix in entirely different and exciting ways every day... if you can't actually be on the Beach, I'll show you how it was...

Winter Solstice at 48th Street, VB, 12.21.12

It wasn't...
The End of the World...
down at the Beach today...
even though there was...
Fire in the Sky...
and...
Smoke on the Water...

It seems the Ancient Mayans...
just didn't want us...
to miss the Big Surf...
out there today...

The Energy Levels...
were Off the Charts...
this mornin'...
The Offshore Winds were howlin'...
and the Waves were Smokin'...
You could hear the Tubes collapse...
from a hundred yards away...
And the Dark Clouds...
gave everything an Edge...

The First Day of Winter...
made us take notice...
in a spectacular way...

Happy Solstice...

  1. Gorgeous Day! Love the sky images. I was in water late afternoon right in front of you and was so focused on waves, I had to remind myself to take a good look around at the colors. When the sun came out and the spray lit up right before sunset, it was incredible from out in the water. If you got a good one of that last wave I took to the beach, I'd love to buy it from you. text five -four-oh-454-325 one if you do. Thanks for sharing
