Early Mornin' Solstice at 48th Street, VB, 6.21.13

Summer Solstice...
down at the Beach today...
The Year's longest Day...
the Sun will rise...
to it's highest point...
all year...
and will Rise and Set...
at it's Northernmost point...
all year...
except the Clouds...
kept it all Secret...
today...

The Sand in the footprint...
wiggled...
as i passed by...
and a quick swipe...
revealed...
a Ghost Crab...
uncharacteristically caught in the Open...
He allowed a couple quick shots...
then burst up through the Sand...
and ran...
silently screaming...
waving Claws...
to the Surf...
no doubt kicking himself...
with all eight legs...
for stayin' out of his burrow...
past Dawn...
