Seas 'n Trees... blues 'n greens...

Because the Natural World is Awesome...

New images mostly every day, fresh from Virginia Beach... featuring Sunrises and the Magic that happens where the Sky, the Surf, and the Sand collide and mix into that Mystical State we call the Beach...
So, sit back and enjoy the view... although all the Elements are the same, they mix in entirely different and exciting ways every day... if you can't actually be on the Beach, I'll show you how it was...

Strawberry Moonrise at 48th Street, VB, 6.23.13

Full Moon...
down at the Beach tonight...
Strawberry Moon...
the Tribes called it...
Rose Moon in Europe...
Perigee Moon...
if you're an Astronomer...
and SuperMoon...
to those who just have to hype...

It looked like a bust...
the Clouds gathered...
to hide it's Rise...
over the Sea...
Some Thunder...
seemed to seal it's Fate...
But we went to the Edge...
of the Sea...
anyway...
just to Hope...
And just when Despair...
raised it's fist...
in Victory...
a glimmer...
tickled the edge...
of some Clouds...
and the Moon...
broke through...
weaving it's way...
through the Cloudbank...
to spite the unbelievers...
The Strawberry Moon prevails...

And later...
the Big Moon...
made it's way...
through the Magnolia Tree...
and Vines...
on it's Journey...
to the Dawn...
