down at the Beach today...
The Rains...
are mostly gone...
But the Dredge...
is here, now...
pumping Sand...
on the Beach...
The Wildlife...
is Freaked...
Crazy Black Rocket Dog...
eyes the Bulldozers...
warily...
when he comes off...
Warp Speed...
Shark Eye Moon Snail...
a childhood favorite Shell...
i've found them...
up and down the whole Coast...
but never saw a live one...
'til a couple days ago...
This One...
was alive 'til just...
a little while ago...
when the Dredge...
spit him up on Shore...
and tumbled him back...
to the sea's Edge...
This Ghost Crab...
will probably survive...
he's moved down to the Waterline...
But the ones who didn't...
will have tons of Sand...
dumped on top...
of their burrows...
and be rolled over...
by the Bulldozers...
Strange Day...
on the Beach...
Water Sand Slurry...
spews in from the Dredge...
piling up new Sand...
and all the Water...
rolls back to the Sea...
with the dead and damaged...
Creatures...
that got sucked along...
for the Ride...
The SeaGulls congregate...
to feast on the Dredge's...
bycatch...
Bulldozers clank and roar...
pushing the new Sand smooth...
for our Guests...
to sit on tomorrow...
The Sea...
is black and mucky...
along the Shore...
so dirty...
full of suspended Sand and muck...
and the remains...
of the Dredgees...
Small Fish...
dart through the shallows...
feasting on the Chaos...
Might be some good...
Shark Fishin' tonight...
So unsettled and damaged...
the Beach is today...
But Mother is already at work...
to fix the mess...
let's see...
what the Tides can do...
